马塔现年36岁，这位西班牙中场曾效力曼联、瓦伦西亚、切尔西、加拉塔萨雷、神户胜利船等俱乐部，2024年9月与澳超西悉尼流浪者签约。

本轮之前，马塔一共为西悉尼流浪者出战9次，没有进球。本轮对阵麦克阿瑟，马塔第23分钟打入一球，这也是他的澳超首球，不过西悉尼流浪者最终2-3落败。
